Description
**DSHS Social and Health Program Consultant 3**
We are looking for a Quality Assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement Consultant to lead professional staff for all of Region 1 Children's Administration by monitoring implementation and practice related to program policies and procedures. This includes consultation and analyzing data, providing reports and written feedback to caseworkers and Administrators. Offices available to work out of are Toppenish, Yakima, Ellensburg, Richland, Sunnyside, Walla Walla, Goldendale or White Salmon.
**Some of what you'll do:**
* Provide direct consultation Quality Assurance information in FamLink to manage staff in Region 1 Children's Administration (CA)
* Lead professional staff for all of Region 1 by monitoring implementation and practice related to program policies and procedures.
* Use quality assurance measures directly related to the practice to provide guidance for families and serving clients with intensive social service needs and assesses compliance with policy and practice and inform practice improvement
* Primary regional responsibility for monitoring performance for a complex set of measures, e.g.
* compliance with the terms of the Braam lawsuit re-negotiated settlement
* the Performance Improvement Plan to support federal funding
* Access Washington
* federal and state laws and policies involving families at risk of dependency and/or serving clients with severe and intensive social service needs
* Conduct quality assurance audits related to key practice and performance measures within Region 1 CA
* Track and analyze data, identify trends and make recommendations and proposals regarding practice improvement, future needs of the region and development of procedures and strategies to the Regional Management team through QA Administrator
* Participate in statewide efforts to identify, develop and improve quality measures
* Develop, modify, and review responses to statewide QA/CQI audits
* Submit reports to CA Headquarters, Regional and Deputy Regional Administrators
* Represent Region 1 at statewide meetings and present data results, trends and recommendations to statewide leadership

**Who should apply?**
Professionals with one year of experience as a Social and Health Program Consultant 2, Social Service Specialist 3, or Financial Services Specialist 4 or above OR
Two years experience as a WorkFirst Program Specialist or equivalent work experience with automated eligibility systems OR
A Master's degree or higher in social work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field, and three years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, health, or chemical dependency treatment services programs OR
A Bachelor's degree in social work, a health or social science, public administration or a related field; and four years of professional experience in planning, administering, developing, or delivering social, financial, or health services programs.
