Job Responsibilities/Duties
The Operations Manager, Effluent Treatment Facility is responsible for ensuring safe and compliant operations for the Effluent Treatment Facility and associated structures, systems and operations (ETF). Responsibilities include effective management of day and rotating shift staff, scheduling and integration, and overall accountability for compliant operations as needed to ensure mission objectives are successful. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Manage all aspects of ETF Operations in accordance with established WRPS priorities, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Provide integration information to company level schedules. Interface with other organizations to ensure schedules and resources are aligned for maintaining compliant and mission essential schedules. Accountable for personnel safety based on the principle of "Target Zero" injuries Ensure ETF Operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and company programs, policies and procedures. Facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change and process improvements within the workplace Develop effective working relationships with Bargaining Unit and non-bargaining unit personnel, demonstrating mutual respect and cooperation Establish deliverables and follow through on commitments Set high standards of performance for self and others Ensure procedure compliance is expected and enforced Manage resource allocation as needed to meet company schedules Identify training and qualification assignments for ETF Operations personnel Manage effective performance of ETF schedules Manage Corrective Actions/PERs Identify and implement enhancements to conduct of operations implementation Ensure that responses to abnormal event are conducted and reported appropriately
Required Qualifications
BA/BS and 12-15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3 years' experience managing craft employees.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Nuclear Operations either on a Department of Energy site or commercial site. Previous experience with DNFSB staff and regulators desirable. Previous experience with the Effluent Treatment Facility desirable.
